Board of Marching Bands (BMB) Meeting decisions

The recent meeting of the Board of Marching Bands (BMB), the highest decision making body of our Association “Marching Bands for Peace” was held at Islamabad Club. Gen Khalid Amir Jaffrey HI(M), (Retd), the President of the Association was in the Chair. A number of important decisions were taken including contacting the army, navy and air chiefs of Pakistan with the request to hold their internal annual band competitions on yearly basis. The meeting also appealed to the military and civil training institutions to cover history of marching bands in their syllabi. The meeting decided to convene the long delayed meeting of the Council of Band Captains (CBC) shortly. It was also resolved to hold an All Pakistan Bands competition shortly.
